The last time I spoke to my Father I was just 9 miles away across the bay in Inishowen, Donegal. I told him I'd been riding a horse earlier that day and said it must be 20+ years since I'd been on one. He sounded better and clearer than I'd heard him in many months. His memory was sharper than ever and he was able to point out that I'd been on a horse at a certain date much earlier which I'd forgotten about altogether. I told him I'd be over to see him the day after next. Sadly he died that night leaving a massive void in our lives and all who knew him.

A Dhia, bronn orm
An suaimhneas, glacadh leis an ní
Atá do-athraithe,
An misneach athrú a dhéanamh
Nuair is féidir,
Agus an saíocht an dá rud a athint ón a chéile
